Collection of fossil teeth ”Carcharias”


Eocene epoch, 56-33,9 million years ago, Morocco, North-Africa, private collection from Netherlands.

These fossil teeth have belonged to the extinct Sand Tiger Shark. Lovely small collection of fossil teeths from species like Striatolamia macrota and Carcharias hopei. The condition of teeth varies from moderate to good. Age-related wear, fractures and minor cracks may appear. Size of the cardboard box c. 7,0cm x 4,0cm with approx. 150 teeth. Size of individual tooth varies from 1,5cm to 2,5cm.
