Murex trapa, common name the rare-spined murex, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc of the family Muricidae, the rock snails. Beautiful set of 41 unique shells from Dutch private collection. Good condition. Age-related wear, dirt and dust. Minor fractures. Size of the cardboard box 13,5cm x 13,5cm x 5,0cm. Size of individual shells varies from 5,0cm to 9,0cm. Total weight c. 303g.
