Necklace ”Boaya”

This impressive necklace is made from boar teeth and rattan and called ”Boaya”. Bontoc-warriors and priests wear this ceremonial necklace together with ”Tangkil”-upper arm ornament during ceremonies and rituals such as in the Begnas ritual for rice production. Age-related wear. Necklace length c. 72cm with 15 tooths.
