This finely decorated pottery oil lamp are from the Byzantine period 6th-8th century. Excellent Levantine-Palestinian ceramic oil lamp with conical handle. The fill-hole (discus) is bordered with a raised rim. Beautiful circular, linear and triangular wavy designs and floral decorations all over. Plain wick hole.

This pottery oil lamp is mold made with light terracotta-colored clay. Good condition. Nozzle had even traces of soot. Soil and dirt inside the oil lamp. Gorgeous patina. Size c. 10,0cm x 7,7cm x 4,2cm.
