Coniopteris is an extinct genus of Mesozoic fern leaves with a fossil range from Early Jurassic to the Cenomanian stage of the Lower Cretaceous. It was widespread over both hemispheres during the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous, with over 130 species having been described. Beautiful Coniopteris murrayana fossil in the sediment. Fossil are in good shape. Age-related wear, cracks and minor fractures. Dirt and dust. Size of the sediment approx. 7,1cm x 3,5cm x 1,8cm. Fossil size 4,5cm x 3,0cm. Weight c. 56g.
